Riphah Students' at Noor Thalassemia

Students from Riphah International College had an experience that went outside just visiting the Noor Thalassemia Foundation; it was a touching journey that deepened their understanding of the subject matter. With a particular emphasis on Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), these students set out on a mission: a laboratory study designed to reveal the real difficulties that people with thalassemia deal with. There were forty students in all. The students were divided into five groups and made ready to enter the laboratory of the Noor Thalassemia Foundation. The students completed a valuable internship under the direction of the dedicated team, which included Sajjad Cheema and the respected Lab in charge, Usman Inam. They observed while complex screening processes and complete blood count (CBC) tests were performed. Their encounter was a sincere invitation into a world where technology and humanity exist together, not an empty effort. Usman Inam, with his background in Biochemistry and his role as Lab in charge, shared knowledge and a profound passion for making a difference. The Noor Thalassemia Foundation, as they discovered, wasn't solely about saving the lives of children with thalassemia; it stood as a pillar of support for the broader community. As they left the Lab, the students were thoroughly aware of the human aspect of healthcare and their newly developed abilities. Due to this life-changing event, they created a sense of duty, understanding that the Noor Thalassemia Foundation represented more than just Lab work and left lasting effects on every student. This tour became a powerful call to action rather than just a typical field trip. Moved by the kindness they saw, the students decided to come back with presents and continue their support by organizing a blood drive. Their original intention was to go on an educational vacation, but it turned into a mission of giving since they wanted to change the lives of those they came across.
